The vegetation is classified as wet sclerophyll forest with the dominant tree species the mountain ash, Eucalyptus regnans, the tallest flowering plan

    This reserve located at the northern edge of Toolangi State Forest was established in 1981. It encompasses 815ha of mixed-species forest along the lower reaches of the Murrindindi river. It includes tumbling waterfalls, soaring Mountain Ash and damp fern-filled gullies.
